Join us for the fourth annual Pendle Pub Walk
Starting between 10am and noon from The Sparrowhawk (Fence) the 12 mile circular walk includes Pendle's most stunning scenery and uses its finest hostelries as way-points.
The sponsored walk is a combination of countryside and roads that takes in the best scenery Pendle has to offer. And the pubs we use as way-points are all fine establishments, that all serve real-ale and are all getting into the spirit of Pendle Pub Walk by having special offers on food for registered walkers on the day of the event.
It's all about raising funds for charity
The three previous Pendle Pub Walks have all been roaring good fun. Everyone has a laugh, we've all make new friends, and some walkers have even found love! But the best thing about Pendle Pub Walk, is the fact that it's raising funds for charity. In 2011, 500 Pendle Pub walkers raised over £16,000 for Pendleside Hospice.

...Grahame Trudgill, one of the event organisers, said "We have some great offers for this year's walkers! For a start, early registration enters you into a free prize draw to win meal vouchers from some of the pubs involved with the event."
He added, "Our local pubs are getting into the spirit of things by making other great offers for registered walkers - so far these include half-priced beer at the start; and en route, bacon butties, barbecues, buffets, nibbles... there's going to be no shortage of food! And if it's not free, it will be at a specially reduced price. At the finish, The Sparrowhawk is providing free pie & peas for the registered walkers and, in the evening, live entertainment for everyone".
